de Kock's Inventions Invented  is founded in the concept of Ideas are funny things, they do not work unless you do. This saying printed on a Readers Digest sticker that my Mom had stuck up on the kitchen wall. As a youngster I read it every time I did the dishes and helped with the washing up etc.  Growing up I was very practical making electronic stuff and fiddling with anything that required a plug, connector, screwdriver or a piece of wire. My peers read library books, I preferred reading technical manuals and doing research.  On a day my Mom said to me “one day you should have your own business, think about calling it de Kock’s Inventions Invented”  I thought she was crazy, I went on to become an accountant in the Performing Arts, an certified IT trainer and lastly an IT infrastructure specialist.

I am now in my second half having retired from the IT industry.  I have always been fascinated with clocks. Retirement plus a very supportive and patient wife has allowed me to realise the de Kock’s Inventions Invented dream and the vision of being able to do anything you put your mind to.  So here I am, I making clocks and more recently wooden figurines that highlight love and compassion between humans and animals and creatures.
