Product Images on our website are unique and are made from exotic hard woods that are in stock. Figurines may be made from various invasive trees that have been reclaimed for example stone pine (Pinus Pinea)harvested from Table Mountain.
Items may contain small imperfections as they are all hand crafted.
Parts like arms, tails, pony tails, hands, neck, hair and thin tips are not necessarily as strong other thicker body parts. Do not squeeze together or bend body parts as they may snap, especially when handling and cleaning. Do not force figurine matching pieces together. (Man and his dog and love couples are examples)
Do not knock figurines over, should they fall on a hard surface like tiles, the shock may snap or damage body parts, especially arms and finer tips.
Try and place figurines out of reach and not too close to furniture edges. Watch out for your cat and inquisitive fingers. The dusting person also please needs to take note.
Periodically use a soft cloth together with a liquid wax product like Woodhoc Interior or Exterior Maintenance Wax. You will find it at places like Builders Warehouse. Look for the plastic yellow or blue squeeze bottle. You can also use a mix of beeswax and mineral oil. (also available in shops)
Use a small artist paint brush to apply the wax and then gently wipe it off with the soft cloth. Do not use bristle brushes or anything hard that may apply pressure to the more delicate or fragile body parts.
